New Mosaic Dragon for Gallery 53

Gallery 53's New Dragon
A new mosaic dragon has recently been unveiled in Meriden, Connecticut, USA. The 10ft dragon has been hung on the back staircase of Gallery 53, and can been seen from the new Meriden Green and train station.

It was created by Chris Webster, Diana Szymaszek and a group of young art students.

Giant dragon flies into Beaumaris Castle

The one-tonne dragon created by prop design specialists Wild Creations was originally unveiled at Caerphilly Castle, but it is now on a tour of Wales. It's current stop is at Beaumaris Castle.

A "deadly" dragon in Tavistock

A dragon play-park feature in Tavistock has come under criticism due to it's "deadly" teeth. Apparently there should have been balls attached to the ends of the teeth, to make them safer for children, but they are missing. Parents have expressed concerns that their children could easily trip and impale themselves on these sharp fangs.

The dragon should be fixed in the next week, according to Tavistock Town Council, but personally I don't see why they can't just remove the pointy teeth, rather than put balls on them. It's not as if this dragon is ever going to eat children so they are really not needed!

A New Dragon for Doncaster

A trio of beautiful sculptures have been been unveiled at Yorkshire Caravans near Bawtry, Doncaster, which includes this rather lovely dragon sculpture.

They were created by Ian Curran, who says he was inspired by the HBO tv show Game of Thrones.
